Moving activities and resources

Note: This article is part of the Adding and organising content collection, and supports the use of the UOW Subject Site Template.

A Moodle site may include various types of activities and resources, including Files, Moodle books, Quizzes, Turnitin, etc. Organising a Moodle site effectively is important for enhancing students’ navigation and ease-of-access to important subject-related information and assessments.

This article includes a few methods to efficiently move activities and resources around in your Moodle site. When deciding how to organise your site, make sure you:

  • Ensure content is in the most relevant section for students. For example, a H5P activity should be located within the topic it pertains to rather than a general ‘activities’ section.
  • Provide each activity or resource with sufficient contextual information.
