Recording with Echo360 Universal Capture
Echo360 Universal Capture (UCAP) is the university's licensed software that provides staff with the ability to record video for strengthening student understanding of subject content. Echo360 UCAP allows you to create subject content using pre-recorded video screencasts, audio, and online webcam-based recording. Why?
Blended learning experiences at UOW should be designed to utilise multiple means of representing content and promote student engagement in activities. One engaging and popular of doing this is to use video. Videos can be used to communicate information such as subject welcomes and assessment walkthroughs, as well as content-specific explanations, screencasts, and interviews with subject matter experts.
The use of purposeful video can be an essential component in enhancing online and blended learning experiences. As such the university provides staff with software to record video content. Echo360 UCAP uploads and stores video content in the Echo360 library or class. From there, it can be edited, if required, and then made available to students to view freely or configured to be viewed at schedule times via the subject site.
