Adding a course to the OpenLearning Marketplace
OpenLearning lists courses of the highest quality on their Marketplace. Once you have completed Phase 1: Course plan, Proposal & Scoping and Phase 2: Short Course Development, you are able to request your course be listed on OpenLearning’s Marketplace. While anybody can facilitate a closed course on OpenLearning (without placing the course on the Marketplace), only courses that meet OpenLearning’s Course Quality Criteria can be listed on the Marketplace.
Why?
Opting in to list your course on the OpenLearning Marketplace makes your course discoverable to OpenLearning’s user group and relevant search engines, helping drive traffic to your course and would suit any type of open course seeking to attract a general audience (MOOC, Credential). You might choose to submit a closed course to the OpenLearning Marketplace process to raise visibility and/or as an assurance of quality.
How?
To list your short course on the OpenLearning marketplace:
- Expand the Course Setup section in the left side menu, then select the Setup Wizard.
- Step 3 of the Setup Wizard will provide you with the option for listing your short course on the Marketplace.
- Click the Request to be listed button.
