This project aims to support UOW teachers in creating innovative learning spaces. Included for insipiration are some examples from UOW as well as other universities. The UOW examples describe the processes involved in the design or redesign of these spaces, achievements, problems, student and staff evaluation and key contacts.
Space is an agent for changing teaching practices. The traditional triad of teaching methods (lectures, tutorial and/or laboratories) no longer represents the reality of university teaching. Therefore, the traditional triad of teaching spaces (lecture theatres, tutorial rooms and laboratories) has expanded into a diversity of spaces purpose designed for learning in the twenty first century. Innovative, technology-rich spaces excite both the teacher and the student to interact, collaborate, create and engage, both inside and outside formal class time.Click on the links below to view:
