ACCESS THE DIGITAL UPLIFT CHECK TOOL
The DUC Tool has been designed to support the digital uplift of subject Moodle sites at UOW. It poses a range of questions that prompt reflection on aspects of Moodle site design and assists with identifying opportunities for incremental enhancement and access to relevant resources and support across the following categories:
- Online learning environment design
- Organisation of online content and activities
- Communication channels
- Online assessment and feedback information.
The development of the tool has been informed by UOW staff and student survey feedback in 2020 and has been aligned to the ASCILITE TELAS (Technology Enhanced Learning Accreditation Standards).
Key features
- Allows for anonymous self-reflection on the design of your Moodle site
- Generates a curated list of support resources that align with the reflection categories
- Connections to opportunities for hands-on assistance and consultation as required.
- Functionality that provides an efficient, intuitive and time-effective user experience including:
- recalling a previously completed DUC;
- reviewing DUCs for multiple subjects; and
- completing a DUC over time with the flexibility of saving progress and revisiting when convenient.
Anonymity
The DUC is a mechanism for honest reflection about the design of online learning environments (Moodle sites). To this end, all information provided is anonymous.
While users access the tool using their UOW credentials, the tool does not access or store this login information. Users will be asked to provide their Faculty and School information only for the purposes of reporting tool usage and the identification of discipline-specific areas for future support offerings. To ensure anonymity, users will not be asked to provide their names or the name of the subjects for which they are completing the DUC.
